Renardeau has done nothing but improve this winter and the son of Foxwedge scored his third success of the All-Weather season (and fourth overall) at Lingfield Park yesterday.
Held up off what was a good gallop, he was sat a little way off the pace on the home turn, but was brought with a late challenge on the wide outside by Tom Marquand and Renardeau showed a good turn of foot to settle matters close home.
I’m delighted for his owner Laurence Bellman, for whom he has been a real star this winter, and hopefully further success awaits – there are a couple more races at the course later this month and we may well look to run him in one of those.
