A lightly-raced daughter of Champs Elysees, Star Of Athena showed improved form on her first attempt beyond a mile and a half when winning in great style at Wolverhampton under Kieran O’Neill.
Runner-up on her latest outing, she built on that effort yesterday, coming from last towards the end of the back straight to make relentless headway on the home turn, hitting the front before the furlong pole and coming home clear to win by five lengths.
She looks to have plenty more to offer and, longer-term, we may well look to get her started over hurdles as well. Congratulations to her owners Tim Dykes & Hugh Doubtfire!
