Maverik (pictured right) was the first of them, belatedly winning his first race since joining us when making all at Brighton under a well-judged ride from Tom Marquand.
He has since run well under a penalty and, with the handicapper having put him up just 3lbs, I hope he can go in again in the coming weeks.
I am pleased to write that he has gone up by just 3lbs and, with the likelihood of further improvement to come, he is another that should not be long in winning again.
Finally, we were delighted to record a victory with recent acquisition Pulsating, who got off the mark on her second start for us with an authoritative success at Wolverhampton under Hollie Doyle, who looked excellent value for her 5lbs claim.
She has been raised 1lb for that selling-grade success and life will be tougher in a handicap in future, but she is capable of progressing and it will be interesting to see if she can take a rise in grade in her stride.
Well done to all owners involved and let’s hope the winners continue to flow in the coming weeks!
